YajHFC 0.6.3 released

I am pleased to announce that version 0.6.3 of YajHFC has been released today.

This version is a maintenance version that incorporates only some bugfixes, but no new features. New features/changes:

Minor bugfixes
Linux fax printer should work again with newer Ubuntu versions
Java Runtime included in Windows setup by default

The following translations have not been updated for a few releases and are searching new translators for the next release:

A notice if you are interested in the YajHFC source code:

The YajHFC source code repositories and the issue tracker have moved to GitHub
The Bitbucket repositories will continue to exist for now, but no longer be updated; in June 2020 they will be deleted by Bitbucket (for details see here).

If you are a just a user of the program and not interested in the source code, this will change nothing for you.

Windows setup.exe with included JRE

Hello to all,

because of Oracle's license change of Java for commercial users, I created a new YajHFC setup.exe for Windows that now includes its own JRE based on OpenJDK. (maybe a bit late, I know...)

This means you will no longer need to install a separate Java package on Windows (64-bit).

You can get it at:
http://download.yajhfc.de/releases/yajhfc-0_6_2a-setup.exe

If you find any problems with it, please let me know...

I wanted to let you know that yajhfc.de moved to a new web hoster.

Theoretically nothing should change because of that (especially no Links/URLs). Nevertheless, if you should notice that something does not work anymore on the home page, please let me know.

I am pleased to announce that version 0.6.0 of YajHFC has been released today.

This version has a new feature (user comments for faxes) that may require some work on your side when you upgrade, so I jumped to a new minor version.
New features/changes:

Ability to add user defined comments to faxes
Note: If the read/unread state is saved in a database table, you will have to alter that table! Please see http://www.yajhfc.de/documentation/knowledge-base/152-database-migration-to-0-6-0 for details.
Linux fax printer deb package now works again with installations having systemd

Because Google Code will shut down, the YajHFC source code repositories and the issue tracker have moved to Bitbucket

I am pleased to announce that version 0.5.7 of YajHFC has been released today.

This is primarily a maintenance release to roll up all the changes and enhancements since the last release.
New features/changes:

Bug fixes for phone book: Can now handle identical items, multi-select no longer "kills" entries
Changed behaviour of Filter from fax number: Specified characters are now removed completely instead of being replaced by spaces
Some parameters (e.g. number and time to send) of jobs in the sending queue can now be edited

Support to use native libtiff in the PDF plugin. This offers JBIG support and better compatibility with not 100% clean TIFFs.
Support to read received faxes from AVM Fritz!Box routers (outgoing faxes are still sent over HylaFAX)
Tag name for text extraction now is configurable
New translation: Chinese simplified (zh_CN).
The existing Chinese translation has been renamed to Chinese traditional (zh_TW)
Several minor enhancements and bug fixes

This is actually a rather minor release (except for the console add-on).
The focus is mainly to collect all the bug fixes and small enhancement from the last half year and of course to update all URLs to the new homepage.

Because berlios.de will close down on 2011-12-31 YajHFC moves to http://www.yajhfc.de. Please update your bookmarks accordingly.

The source code repository and issue tracker will now be hosted on Google Code.

The mailing lists will move to Google Groups accordingly ~~(you will need a Google account to join; if that is an issue for you, please let me know)~~
